Here are skeins of pure alpaca yarn, made from two lovely animals in my herd. I took Sweet Thing, one of my nice fawn females, and combined it with Friction, one of our nice young white herdsires.

Sweet Thing was born here on the farm, and expects her first baby this fall. She is the epitome of lovely alpaca female as you can see in her baby picture. Isn't that just charming?

Friction was also born on the farm. See him running races at only 2 days old. Nothing can beat watching the babies run in the pasture.

So two nice alpacas have been combined here to make an awesome two color yarn. This is 2 ply yarn, 200 yard skeins, and weighs 3.6 ounces. It is sportweight. The fawn ply is Sweet Thing, and the natural white ply is Friction.

It is soft yarn. You will love it, and I'm sure you will love the varigated look it gives when knit. At some point, I will post a picture of a knitted sample, for those of you who wonder what this yarn would look like in a finished product.

These colors would compliment anyone. They are a lovely color combination. This yarn would make a fabulous, unique gift for someone you love. Each purchase comes with a card showing the alpaca the yarn was made from.

Wash in cool water, hand wash, with little agitation, and a mild soap like Euclan wool wash or ivory dish detergent.
