Fleece judge at MOPACA rewarded him a 1st place most notable score was a 19/20 for fineness on a 2 yr olds fleece! Wrangler's fleece is very grey now (2015) despite the brown tips. Looks close to medium silver but has enough brown in to still be in the rose grey classes. Wrangler is an amazing all around top knotch alpaca. His sire is JJA Royal Adonis who has many blue ribbon and color champ. offspring in just about every color. The dam is a msg/mrg Fire N'Ice daughter. The fleece is tight bundles of super softness with the density we have come to expect in Adonis offspring. Very straight and stocky and with presence galore. His staple length is amazing, just like Papa. Wrangler has the best of the Royal Fawn line males, 4Peruvian Black Magic, CPeruvian Silvio, Fire-N-Ice along with his fantastic Bay Black sire Royal Adonis and silver dam Hope. I want to keep this guy really bad as we don't have a full peruvian grey in our line-up. However, we still use his sire and 1/2 brother quite a bit. Such a dilemma. Maybe a 1/2 ownership is in order?
In a very tough class this fall 2013, Wrangler took a 1st. His micron came in at 17.5 which is typically awesome of the dark Adonis offspring. Sure wish there was another means of judging the rest of the numbers for greys as they get so scewed from the different colors.
